WELCOMING VISITORS TO HAWAI’I

Ali‘i Greeting Service is a family owned business founded by Hawaiians born and raised in the islands. Since 1982, we’ve continued to be the most popular flower lei greeters here in Hawai‘i – servicing Maui & O’ahu. Today, we strive to keep historical traditions alive with company roots stretching back through history.

Company history

Generations back…

In the 60’s, a man Chuck Machado Jr., better known as “The Luau King,” began sharing Hawaiian luau traditions with visitors in Waikiki by throwing the first commercial luaus. The same man, who also hosted a world famous fishing tournament, would eventually establish one of the first airport lei greeting services: Aloha Lei Greeters.

 

Following in his father’s footsteps, son Chuck Machado III, begins the next generation of airport lei greeting with Ali‘i Greeting Service in 1982. Since then, the multi-island company continues to be owned and operated by Billie Jean Machado.
